Through years of study, practice, and patience, a body of artwork has emerged, fusing and wefting native styles and subjects. Paintings, prints, and sculptures are but some of the recontextualizations of these powerful images for our modern times
Muerto-isms
From contemporary interpretations of ancient meso-American codex paintings, to satirical calavera (skeleton) paintings in the tradition of Jose Guadalupe Posada, to semiological fusions of cultural symbols, our work has sought to vigorously reassert our indigenous perspective within a multicultural world.
The Descendants
Spirits of the Living World | 2026
Born from the colors of my seven-story mural, A New Day, at Nelly Hannon Gateway, The Descendants explores the spirits, animals, and ancestral presences that inhabit our world.
Created with the same paints used in the mural, these works bring its stories into a more intimate space. Through birds, butterflies, human figures, and elements of nature, they celebrate our connections to the living world, our ancestors, and the unseen spirits that surround us.
