Sean Levon Nash was born in Oakland, California, in 1973.
Sean spent much of his youth between Oakland, Indiana, and Iowa. Of Chocktaw
and Comanche descent, his frequent relocation has afforded him a unique
view of current America and it’s effects on mixed Indians, particularly
himself. Sean graduated from UC Davis in Fine Art and History. He continues
to apply his mastery of medium to create educational and historically relevant
paintings, and through these he successfully contextualizes ancient indigenous
imagery as the linguistic medium that it has been for thousands of years.
Sean currently lives in San Francisco’s Mission District, and teaches
throughout the Bay Area. |
